Smitty: Ain't that the funniest thing you ever saw? Look at his ears! [laughs cruelly, then mockingly makes fun of Dumbo] Nah nah nah! Kid 1: Hey, guys, lookit! Smitty's an elephant! Boys: [laughing as Mrs. Jumbo ignores the boys and hides Dumbo from them] Kid 1: You can't hide him from us. Kid 2: Yeah, his ears are still stickin' out. Kid 1: Come on! Kid 2: We wanna see him! Kid 1: We wanna laugh. Kid 2: Sure, that's what we came for. Smitty: [blows air in Dumbo’s ears] Kid 1: Hey, the biggest slingshot in the world. [pulls at Dumbo's ears] Mrs. Jumbo: [grabs Smitty and spanks him] Smitty: Hey! Cut that out! You're hurting me! Help! Kid 2: Let's get out of here! Kids: [scream and run away] Ringmaster: What's going on? [Mrs. Jumbo throws haystack at the boys] Down! [whips Mrs. Jumbo] Mrs Jumbo, down! Surround her! Tie her down! Mrs. Jumbo: [trumpets; throws the attendants to the ground] Ringmaster: Down! Calm down! Tie her down! Mrs. Jumbo: [grabs the Ringmaster's foot and drops him in

Ringmaster: [in a tent, talking to Joe the janitor] Have I got an idea! What an idea! Timothy: [to Dumbo, amused] Huh! He never had an idea in his life. Ringmaster: Just visualize: one elephant climbs up on top of another elephant, until finally, all seventeen elephants have constructed an enormous pyramid of pachyderms! I step out! I blow the whistle! The trumpets are trumpeting! Timothy: [eagerly] Yeah! Ringmaster: AND NOW COMES THE CLIMAX...! Joe: [beat] Yeah? What is the climax? Ringmaster: [chuckles and shrugs] I don't know. Timothy: I knew he never had nothin'. Ringmaster: [getting into bed] Well, maybe it comes to me in a vision while I dream. Good night, Joe. Ringmaster: Ladies and gentlemen, we will now present for your entertainment, the most stupendous, magnificent, super-colossal spectacle! On this tiny, little, insignificant ball, we will construct for you: a pyramid! Not of wood, not of stone... Catty Elephant: To hear him talk, you'd think he was going to do it. Ringmaster: [After the elephant pyramid has been built] Ladies and gentlemen, you have now seen the impossible accomplished in front of your faces. Seven jungle giants, each one weighing... Elephant Matriarch: [straining under all the other elephants] That windbag! Why doesn't he come to the point?!
