• School is a great leveller where you are known not by the money you have, but by how good you are in sport, not even studies. At school, even though I travelled in trains and buses, I got all the attention being the football captain.

• I have been offered films from Hollywood since 2006. The only difference is, I've never mentioned it or spoken about it. My aspirations are very simple. I want to make a film out of here that's world standard. That will make me very happy.

• I have probably been criticised the most in this industry, from the time I started. For me, it was simple. I was like a horse with blinkers. I could only see in front, and didn't expect. I have never had a publicist. I don't go out there to feed stories in the media; it could make me vulnerable as well, but I think people know my integrity and where I come from.
